Oh trained with and received his TKD Black Belt from under General Choi Hong Hi, the founder of Tae Kwon Do (General Choi is often referred to as the Father of the art of Tae Kwon General Hong Hi Choi, the Top Military General in Korea was asked to combine the best of the Korean Martial Arts to create Tae Kwon Do. GM Chung Won Oh held the highest possible ranks in Taekwondo and Hapkido.
Grand Master Chung W. Oh was a 9th degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and 9th degree black belt in Hap Ki Do.
